In 2025, we attempted to pair Keiju and Louhen with what we considered suitable males. Unfortunately, the females didn’t find the males suitable. Keiju then developed uterine problems again two months after her heat, so we decided to withdraw her from breeding. After consulting with Louhen’s co-owners, she was also withdrawn from breeding.
It has not been a year and already the little puppy with the dragon name Teräksinen has grown in a adult look-alike male. Together with his mum and pack member Hukka they had a photoshoot in the park nearby. You can find the pictures with the individual dogs.

On January 6, I had an appointment with Tabanyaruu Wihta Liivu and Ikuinenlahjan Pihasyreeni Keiju at Veterinary clinic A7 Noord in Drachten for the annual ECVO eye test. Both ladies are clear so they are approved for breeding this year.
Sunday 26 september Liivu won Best in Show Specialty at the Dutch Finnish Lapphund Championship show! After Liivu her win of Best in Show at KC Sneek, we couldn’t believe that out of around 60 Finnish Lapphunds, she was voted Best in Show Specialty.
